Educational Sessions for Parents

The School Feeding and Child Welfare (SFCW) Agency is committed to extending the principles of healthy eating beyond the school environment, ensuring that children maintain nutritious dietary habits within their families. To achieve this, the agency regularly conducts training courses targeted at parents, aiming to educate them on the importance of balanced diets and healthy food choices.

Beyond the intensive three-day courses, the SFCW Agency also facilitates online sessions and holds informational and advisory meetings at schools. These gatherings provide parents with comprehensive insights into the program’s framework, objectives, nutritional menus, and the foundational aspects of healthy eating.

In 2021, the Agency has scheduled meetings with parents from the Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Armavir, Lori, Kotayk, and Syunik regions. These discussions will focus on the critical role of nutrition in maintaining health, the prevention of nutrition-related diseases, the concept of a “healthy plate,” and the significance of incorporating physical activity into daily routines. The SFCW Agency is dedicated to reaching every corner of these regions—from villages to towns—to share knowledge and strategies for nurturing healthy children.
